R4 - WeekEnd Shows

These, once a month, shows conducted over the weekend are broadly categorised as :-

• Cine & Sangeet Charcha 
  1. Chat and Musical shows on Hindi Film Music (HFM) artistes and personalities.
  2. We have as guests - either the artistes themselves or members of their family -  who reminisce about the focus artiste along with songs.
  3. Musicologists as guests who help unravel many new discoveries in HFM.
     
• Book Charcha 
  1. Chat and Musical shows with the authors of books on HFM and Hindi Cinema. 
     
  2. These authors chat with us over their book and help us gain insights into the personality covered in the book. ​
     

The R4 weekend shows are an extension of the R4 weeknight shows that play original audio songs. These shows do not have / undertake live performance / live singing of songs.
