R4 Weeknight Shows

Thrice a week shows, of 30-40 minute duration, are done primarily for Indian audiences at 10.00 pm IST and repeated the next day at 8.30 am , primarily ,  for US audiences  

• Across decades starting from the 50s
• A Mix of popular , lesser heard and Rare songs 
• Daily Farmaish from Members
• Members present once a week to bring in their songs with their perspectives

The R4 weeknight shows endeavour to take all back to the Radio listening days when a mix of songs was played on Radio. These shows do not have / undertake live performance / live singing of songs.

R4 Weekend Shows

Once-a-month shows conducted over the weekend are broadly categorised as :-

• Cine & Sangeet Charcha 
  1. Chat and Musical shows on Hindi Film Music (HFM) artistes and personalities 
  2. We have as guests - either the artistes themselves or members of their family -  who reminisce about the artiste along with songs 
  3. Musicologists as guests who help unravel many new discoveries in HFM
• Book Charcha 
  1. Chat and Musical shows with the authors of books on HFM and Hindi Cinema 
  2. These authors informally chat with us over their book and help us gain insights into the personality covered in the book ​

The weekend shows are an extension of the R4 weeknight shows. These shows do not have / undertake live performance / live singing of songs.
